Samsung Medison acquires AI ultrasound startup Sonio for $92.7 million
According to foreign media reports, Samsung Medison, the medical device division of Samsung Electronics, announced on Wednesday that it will acquire Sonio, a French artificial intelligence startup headquartered in Paris, for US$92.7 million. The acquisition aims to inject advanced AI technology into Samsung's field of ultrasound imaging equipment. Founded in 2020, Sonio is committed to the development of artificial intelligence software for ultrasound workflows.
