UK cracks down: criminal penalties for creating and sharing indecent deepfakes content
In a blog post published yesterday (January 7), Reuters reported that the UK government is cracking down and making it a criminal offense to create and share indecent "deepfakes" images. The move will fill a gap in existing legislation and better protect victims.
