Neuroscience and biomedical startup BrainBridge announced on the 21st that it has developed an AI-powered mechanized system for head transplants and demonstrated how it works. The concept allows the head to be transplanted onto the body of a brain-dead donor, while preserving the recipient’s memory, cognitive abilities, and consciousness. The body parts come from brain-dead patients, while the heads come from patients with terminal illnesses or paralysis.
