YouTube's new rules come into effect: Uploaded videos must be marked as AI-produced, including synthetic dubbing/face-swapping, etc.
YouTube recently announced that from now on, anyone uploading or posting a video will need to label "altered or synthesized" realistic content, including generative AI. YouTube defines "realistic content" as "any content that viewers could easily mistake for a real person, thing, or place." If a video creator uses a synthesized version of a real person's voice to dub a video, or posts a video with the theme of "AI face-swapping," they will need to attach a label.
