US pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly announced a partnership with OpenAI to use the latter's generative AI technology to develop new antimicrobial drugs for the treatment of drug-resistant pathogens. Eli Lilly said that antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is currently one of the biggest threats to global public health and development.
