Economy of Intention

Dec. 31 (Bloomberg) -- Artificial intelligence (AI) tools could be used to manipulate online users' decisions about shopping choices, who to vote for, and much more, according to researchers at the University of Cambridge. The manipulation is based on the emerging "intent economy," in which AI assistants understand, predict, and even manipulate human intent and sell that information to businesses for profit.
