Jan. 15, 2012 - In response to the security challenges posed by the world's largest religious gathering, the Indian government is deploying artificial intelligence technology for the first time on a large scale at this year's Maha Kumbh Mela, providing security for nearly 450 million pilgrims through advanced equipment such as face-recognition cameras, underwater drones and robotic buoys.
