Warner and other record companies reach agreement with unions to protect the rights of artists in AI-generated songs
SAG-AFTRA, the union representing actors, musicians and other artists, has signed an agreement with several major record labels to put safeguards in place when labels use artificial intelligence in songs. Warner Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group and Disney Music Group said Monday that SAG-AFTRA has tentatively signed a multi-year agreement to increase performer royalties, improve insurance access and align interests in artificial intelligence.
