Magnific was founded by Javi López and Emilio Nicolás, who will continue to innovate in the field of AI and will join Freepik to work with Omar Pera, VP of Freepik Labs, to drive Freepik's development in AI solutions. Magnific will operate as an independent subsidiary of Freepik, but its technology will be tightly integrated with Freepik's existing services.
Founded just five months ago in Murcia, Spain, Magnific has quickly made its mark with its "reimagined upscaling" tool, which revolutionizes the field of image processing. Magnific's technology significantly improves the quality and resolution of low-resolution images while giving users real-time control over image detail, which is important for professional applications in industries such as billboards, video games, photo editing, architecture, interior design, matte painting, and animated filmmaking.
