Creators using generative AI :.About one in five respondents (22%) have used generative AI at work.
Occupational use.12% illustrators, 37% translators, 20% novelists, and 25% nonfiction writers are already using AI technology.
Livelihoods affected.A quarter of illustrators (26%) and more than a third of translators (36%) lost their jobs to generative AI.
Decline in income.More than a third of illustrators (37%) and more than a quarter of translators (43%) said their job income had declined.
Future Revenue Concerns.Most novelists (65%) and nonfiction writers (57%) believe that generative AI will have a negative impact on their future income from creative work, with translators (77%) and illustrators (78%) having even more serious concerns.
Copyright recognition and financial compensation.Almost all respondents (94%) would like to receive appropriate copyright recognition and financial compensation when their work is used to develop AI systems or generate AI output.
Government Regulatory Requirements.95% of respondents asked the government to introduce regulatory measures to address the impact of generative AI on the creative industries.
