Anaut applied for approval from Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare in June 2023 and received approval on April 12 of this year to use the Eureka Alpha system during surgery. The company has now sold the system to more than 100 hospitals in Japan.
In endoscopic surgery, the surgeon inserts an endoscope (a tube with a camera and light on the end) through a small opening in the abdomen. This procedure does not require a large incision, allowing the surgeon to see inside the patient's body and perform related medical procedures, reducing risks to the patient and speeding up recovery time.
However, endoscopic surgery requires high skills and experience, and the Eureka Alpha system can assist surgeons in completing related operations.
