SunoIt is currently the most popularAI music creation platform, you can create a song with just one sentence. But because it has not been localized specifically for the Chinese market, it is currently only available in English.
If I hadn't mistakenly searched "suno ai" on Baidu, I might never have discovered this secret.
Baidu is indeed the favorite of copycat manufacturers. You will never find what you are looking for on the first page, which is almost entirely filled with advertisements.
The most outrageous thing is not Baidu, the most outrageous thing is that I clicked on the so-called"Official entrance"…
Real or fake Suno
Different companies, different domain names, same Suno main interface, can you tell which one of the following is the genuine one?
That’s right, the above 4 are all knockoffs!
Four websites with two skins, one copycat platform. The following is the original version, ordinary users can't tell the difference.
At first I thought these websites just copied the user interface, stole some Suno's music, and then deceived people into paying. The generated results were probably not very good, after all, Suno did not open source its generation model.
Out of curiosity, I tried the above websites and foundThe effect is actually quite good.
It is even easier to use than the genuine Suno. You can create directly by opening the homepage of the website, and there are recommended lyrics (see the picture below), which further reduces the cost of initial use.
Listen to this:
, duration 01:58
There is even a MV, and there is a Suno logo in the lower right corner.Things are not simple!
So I carefully checked the interface data of the website and found the URL of the audio.
I saw a string of uuid codes: e82e16ec-d12f-4ca3-8119-5595f7e07e6f, so I wondered if this could be generated by a genuine Suno...
So I replaced this string of code with the URL of Suno's official song details page:
Then I found the data source of the copycat website!
Including song title, song type, cover image, lyrics, allCrawled from Suno officialof.
In other words, these websites are just shell companies. You send out a request for song generation, and they send it to Suno. After Suno generates the song, they crawl down and return it to you...
Getting something for nothing
If they just make a profit from the price difference by reselling, it is understandable. The reason why I said they are cutting leeks in the title is because they are doing a business of making money out of nothing.
Check out the prices:
Suno's official registered users can get 10 songs for free every day. If that's not enough, the standard subscription plan costs $10 and can generate 500 songs, which is only 0.09 yuan per song.
The prices of these knockoff websites vary, some offer monthly subscriptions, and some offer subscriptions based on the number of times you use them.
Even if we calculate based on the cheapest standard package, 68 yuan for 224 songs, which translates to 0.3 yuan per song. This price is much more expensive than the official price, which is a real scam.
What about the cost?
Because Suno officially generates 10 songs for free for registered users every day, this can be used by these copycat developers. As long as they use some technical means, they can register an unlimited number of machine accounts, commonly known as an account pool.
Then theoretically, an unlimited number of songs can be generated for free.
In addition to website development and operation costs, the biggest cost may be spent on keyword bidding on Baidu.
Baidu may be the biggest winner (bushi) in the Chinese market in the AI era.
Service not guaranteed
This is not the worst thing. The worst thing is that their behavior was carried out secretly and without official authorization from Suno, so their rights and interests cannot be guaranteed at all.
You happily recharged a one-year package of 498 yuan, thinking that you would soon become an AI music blogger with tens of millions of fans, but what you might get is unstable service and copycat manufacturers who are ready to run away at any time.
Once Suno officially changes the interface or frees up energy to handle machine accounts, or tightens the permissions of free accounts, the copycat service will be immediately shut down. Conscientious copycats may spend a day or two to adapt or respond, but the unscrupulous ones will just run away.
Final Thoughts
In business, you can do anything that is not prohibited by law. But at least you have to abide by basic business ethics and be honest.
It is shameless that they are clearly an unauthorized re-transfer agent, but they are using Suno's brand and user interface to pocket users' money.
Besides, Suno can now be accessed directly, and domestic users can log in with a Microsoft account.
Suno is not an isolated case, because there is a huge information gap between China and overseas, and there will be more and more AI products that are fake or fake. In addition to paying attention to people like Li Xzhou who sell courses under the banner of Tsinghua University, don't be fooled by the dazzling array of shell products.
