Amazonannounced that its Amazon Music Music app opens up AI-generated song list feature Maestro to a handful of U.S. users for testing.
Users can enter a variety of prompts (including traditional text prompts, emoticons, and combinations thereof) to allow the feature to generate unique, customized song lists in seconds.Maestro also lists a number of suggested prompts at the bottom of the page to choose from.
Specifically, if the user enters 🤖, then Maestro will provide a list of tracks containing information about electronics and robotics. Amazon also lists a series of officially recommended cue inputs, including:
-
😭 and eat 🍝 (pasta);
-
Let my 👶 be a genius;
-
Myspace Music in the age of social networking;
-
🏜️🌵🤠.
Currently, Amazon Music's Unlimited tier subscribers with beta access will have full access to Maestro, with unlimited auditioning before saving a list, while Free and Prime tier subscribers with beta access will only be able to audition a preview for 30 seconds before saving.
Amazon says Maestro is built on emerging technology and can't guarantee correctness, while Amazon has set up an AI fence for the feature to block inappropriate prompt input.
Amazon Music's rival Spotify recently went live with a similar feature called AI Playlist.
