Marvell Mei Man Electronicssaid at an investor event on the AI infrastructure space last week that it has a new offer from a major tech company AI ChipsOrders.
Marvell claims that, including this order, itsHas taken custom chip orders from three of the "four U.S. mega-corporations".These include customized AI training gas pedals and AI inference gas pedals for Customer A, customized Arm architecture CPUs for Customer B, and recently, customized AI gas pedals for Customer C.

Marvell said that the AI training gas pedal for Customer A and the Arm architecture CPU for Customer B are already in the capacity ramp phase, while the AI inference gas pedal for Customer A and the AI accelerator for Customer C will go into production in 2025/2026, respectively.
Some bank analysts believe that Customer B is Google, and that the Arm architecture CPU is the recently announced Google Axion; Marvell did not respond to this view.
Custom chip design orders typically involve higher turnover but lower margins.
Marvell expects the AI custom chip business to contribute $2.5 billion (currently about RMB 18.15 billion) in revenue by fiscal year 2026 (IT House note: Marvell's fiscal year ends in late January or early February of the current calendar year).
For comparison, Broadcom, one of Marvell's main competitors in the space, expects its AI custom chip sales to reach $10 billion this year.
At the investor event, Marvell also described its technology buildup in the custom chip business, including advanced packaging technologies that combine multiple large chips into one.
Marvell said in March that it would build a 2nm chip production platform optimized for accelerated infrastructure based on TSMC processes.
