LG The company recently released a press release demonstrating its self-developed on-device AI chip DQ-C,It is planned to be deployed in 46 products in 8 categories.
This DQ-C chip is mainly used in the internal systems of home appliances, supporting AI control, driving LCD screens, recognizing voice, etc. The chip is produced using TSMC's 28nm process technology.
LG spent three years intensively developing the DQ-C chip, which was first released in July 2023 and used in five LG products including washing machines, dryers and air conditioners.
In July 2023, LG launched washing machines and dryers equipped with DQ-C chips for the first time in its home appliance 2.0 series, and demonstrated the actual DC-Q chip at last year's IFA.
