According to reports, as the computing power base of artificial intelligence, the intelligent computing center is of great significance for seizing opportunities in the digital economy era, promoting the development of artificial intelligence, carrying out the "artificial intelligence +" action, and cultivating new quality productivity. According to statistics, the computing power required for AI models doubles every 100 days, far exceeding Moore's Law.
The 2023 Guizhou Provincial Party Committee Economic Work Conference clearly proposed to seize the opportunity of the "trend" of artificial intelligence, accelerate the development of new quality productivity, and strive to create a world-leading intelligent computing center model by occupying the three "commanding heights" of intelligent computing, cultivating industry big models, and data training.
Huawei Cloud said that the Intelligent Computing Center can be understood as a public computing power platform.Enterprises, universities, research institutions, etc. do not need to build their own computing infrastructure, they can "place an order" when they have computing power needs, by calling directly in the cloud AI computing power, complete AI model training, high-performance computing and other tasks at a more affordable cost, and develop scenario applications that meet their own development needs.
In the next three years,Huawei will continue to increase NPU card deployment in Gui'an, while ensuring that the PUE value (total energy consumption of the data center/energy consumption of IT equipment) of the intelligent computing center is no higher than 1.2 (the closer to 1, the higher the energy efficiency level).
