On the Reddit forum, users expressed their dissatisfaction with Copilot, which was filled with comments such as "Get it out of my computer" and "Throw it in the trash." Many users said they immediately disabled Copilot, or even hid or removed it.
Users' aversion to Copilot stems from several reasons. Many people think that this AI feature is not good enough to be put in such a prominent position. Another part of users are dissatisfied with Microsoft's practice of ignoring user needs and forcibly adding new features. They think Copilot makes the interface more cluttered and destroys their original usage habits.
One angry user questioned the Windows team's decision: "Can't Microsoft consider the feelings of users more? Why add some useless features at random?"
Only a few users said that if Copilot must exist, they would prefer it to be placed in the system tray, where the icon is relatively less conspicuous. However, this view is clearly not the mainstream.
Most Windows users explicitly requested that Copilot be completely removed, rather than reinstalled. They clearly rejected the AI productivity tool that Microsoft forced on them. "I haven't used Copilot in years, and I'm fine." One user succinctly expressed his feelings.
