Note my prefix, freeEnglish ChatbotIt is especially suitable for friends who want to practice spoken English. It is really useful after personal test.
Come and experience the actual effect, the interaction is natural, the English pronunciation is fluent, and it is completely free.
Pi was developed by Inflection AI. Two of its three founders came from Google Deepmind (Google is simply the cradle of AI talents). It received more than 1.5 billion US dollars in financing in the middle of last year, making it a veritable AI unicorn.
InflectionAI's slogan is to create personal AI for everyone, and their first product is Pi.
At first, I didn’t understand what personal AI meant specifically. After using it in depth for a while, I found that Pi fully implemented their philosophy and reflected the attention to individuals everywhere.
Pi has both a web version and a mobile app. The web version is only for text chat, while the app allows voice conversation. Of course, ChatGPT or Wenxin Yiyan also have these features, but Pi has its own unique advantages.
Simple and direct
Pi is probably the simplest chatbot application I have ever seen. You don’t even need to log in, open the webpage or application, or register. You can start chatting directly by clicking Next.
Pi does not have various complex functions. The web version can only communicate through text, and the app version only has an additional voice intercom.
Pi also deliberately weakened the conversation (thread) function. You can chat about various topics in the same window, and you can continue the previous topic or start a new topic each time you open it.
Each reply is also relatively shorter, encouraging you to speak more and gradually expand the topic from the simplest to the most complex. Because if Pi is really a person, he is unlikely to give you a long speech of more than 500 words.
Focus on communication
Other chatbots often start with open-ended questions, such as: How can I help you? What do you want to ask? Or they just start with a search box.
Because they presume that they are AI assistants and are here to help you solve problems.
Pi chats with you. It will communicate and greet you like a good friend in a relaxed, friendly and empathetic way.
"What's your name?" is often the first sentence you say to break the ice.
Convenient and easy to use
If you don't know what to talk about, Pi will provide some chat topics, such as food, health, weather, etc., allowing you to explore freely.
Pi can search the Internet in real time, get the latest weather and information, and confirm online based on the specific topic of conversation, all of which runs seamlessly in the background.
In Memory of Akira Toriyama
Simple, direct, communication-oriented, and easy to use are the biggest features of Pi. I also recorded a video of the web experience process. If you are interested, you can take a look:
Inflection 2.5
Pi uses the latest Inflection 2.5 model released yesterday, which is now available to all users for free.
The official announcement is that the Inflection 2.5 model only used about 40% of GPT-4's computing power for training, but it is very close to GPT-4 in various capabilities (the performance is above 94% of GPT-4).
As shown in the data below, Inflection 2.5 performs well in multiple benchmark tests.
In general, its math and programming abilities are slightly worse than GPT-4, but that is understandable because solving scientific and technological problems is not Inflection’s first goal.
I think Inflection is more about providing emotional value and becoming a more comprehensive and useful model.
A great tool for learning English
The powerful Inflection 2.5 language model, combined with the natural and fluent speech capabilities provided by Pi, makes it the best chatbot for practicing English listening, speaking and reading.
There are all kinds of topics, no restrictions, you can talk about whatever you want.
And it's completely free at this stage, so don't miss it (but you need to solve the well-known network problems yourself).
