The US Court News Service CNS published an article today saying,MuskThe lawsuit was filed Thursday in San Francisco Superior Court.claim OpenAI and its CEO AltmanViolation of the company's founding agreement, which aims to advance AI technology in the direction of benefiting humanity rather than making profits.
Musk proposed to OpenAIThe claims include breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and unfair business practices, and require the company to restore open source.He also asked for an injunction preventing OpenAI, its president Brockman and CEO Altman (who are named as co-defendants in the case), and Microsoft from profiting from the company's artificial intelligence technology.
Musk said in the lawsuit, "OpenAI Inc. has transformed into the world's largest technology company.Microsoft's de facto closed-source subsidiary. Under its new board, it is not just developing, but actually perfecting an artificial general intelligence (AGI) to maximize Microsoft’s profits, not to benefit humanity.”
Musk pointed out that GPT-4, released by OpenAI in 2023, already has reasoning capabilities that exceed the average human level, and in the meantime "Mr. Altman has completely derailed OpenAI from its ultimate mission and historical practices,No longer open their technology and knowledge to the public", and said, "The internal design of GPT-4 is kept secret, and apart from OpenAI, it is believed that only Microsoft knows it," Musk also said, "Although GPT-4 was developed by OpenAI using contributions from the plaintiff and others, and was originally intended to benefit the public, it has now become Microsoft's proprietary algorithm and has been integrated into its Office software suite."
At present, Musk, Altman and OpenAI have not responded to the lawsuit on social media.
