Earlier this week, inIndiaMumbaiMicrosoft CEO Connection event, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced that theCompany plans to equip up to 2 million people in India with AI skills by 2025.
The company aims to achieve this through its new ADVANTA(I)GE INDIA program to bridge the skills gap while supporting India's transformation into an AI-first nation.
Nadella also highlighted how Microsoft Copilot can improve organizational productivity by simplifying work. He added that research shows that early adopters of Copilot for Microsoft 365 now "Speeded up in a series of missions 29%", including, but not limited to, preparing and summarizing the content.
Nadella mentioned that several organizations in India are already leveraging AI capabilities to improve productivity. In addition to accelerating innovation and increasing efficiency, integrating AI into an organization's workflow is also something that can increase effectiveness.
According to Microsoft, "Organizations in India get an average of $3.86 back for every $1 spent on AI projects, and more than 150 organizations are already using Azure OpenAI services to innovate in industries such as agriculture, aviation, e-commerce and FMCG."
