Elon Musk recently denied rumors that he had not made any announcements about his artificial intelligence company xA A new roundFinancingHave approached any investor.
Citing sources, the Financial Times reported on Friday that xAI is seeking up to $6 billion in investment and is in talks with investors in Hong Kong to challenge OpenAIAs soon as the news came out, Musk quickly denied it on the social platform X, saying that he "had not had a conversation with anyone about this matter."
This is the second time this month that Musk has denied reports about xAI's financing. Earlier, he also denied Bloomberg's report that xAI had received a $500 million investment, calling it "fake news from Bloomberg."
xAI was founded by Musk last year and its first product is the chatbot Grok, which is seen as a competitor to OpenAI's ChatGPT.
