As of March 14, 2025, the AI general education courses on the Penguin Teaching Platform cover 6 provinces / municipalities directly under the central government, 24 states, 67 districts and counties in China.A total of 202 schools and 281 classes have been reachedThe program has benefited more than 7,000 students, including 134 classes in 94 schools in Gansu Province, 98 classes in 67 schools in Hebei Province, 30 classes in 29 schools in Qinghai Province, and 15 classes in 9 schools in Chongqing Municipality, most of which are in rural elementary school.
At the end of 2024, the AIGE Research Center of the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University, in conjunction with Tsinghua University Publishing House and Tsinghua University Middle School Education Group, set up the Tsinghua University and Primary and Secondary Schools Artificial Intelligence General Education System Research Project Group, to develop an Artificial Intelligence general education system that is coherent between large and medium-sized schools. This Artificial Intelligence Liberal Studies course is part of a broader collaborative program between the AIGE Research Center at Tsinghua University's Department of Computer Science and Tencent's Sustainable Social Value Division. The course is based on the General Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (Primary School Edition), with a total of 44 sections (going live).The course team includes both experts in the field of artificial intelligence on the front line of research and primary and secondary school teachers on the front line of teaching.
