Last October.Microsoftannounced a new Copilot Functions -- Think DeeperFor Pro Plan users, it uses OpenAI's o1 inference model to help users solve tough problems, a feature that has been made available to users this year for free and without restrictions.
Microsoft today announced enhancements to the Copilot Think Deeper deep thinking feature, theNow supported by OpenAI's o3-mini-high model. Essentially, Microsoft is decentralizing the equivalent inference model to ChatGPT Pro to all Copilot users.
Users simply click the "Think Deep" button in Copilot, and the AI analyzes the question and generates a fully reasoned response in about 30 seconds.
Note: OpenAI's o3-mini is their newest and most cost-effective model. Its overall intelligence is comparable to that of OpenAI's o1 model, with o3-mini providing faster performance and higher efficiency. o3-mini is available from OpenAI for free ChatGPT users.
