ElevenLabs has worked with a number of celebrities over the past few months to turn their work into audiobooks, and ElevenLabs is now opening up the technology to everyone so that everyone can quickly turn books into professional audiobooks.
Although the audiobook market is hot, only about 5% of books have been released in audiobook versions due to the slow, complex and costly process of producing audiobooks, 1AI reported, citing tech media NeoWin.
And ElevenLabs' newly launched ElevenReader Publishing platform offers authors more control, including voice customization, pacing control, and multi-character voicing features to meet individual needs.
The platform currently only supports English-language audiobooks, but ElevenLabs is working on supporting 31 other languages. In addition, the platform also offers a cash cow, with authors earning $1.10 (note: currently around $8) for every user who listens for more than 11 minutes, although this is currently only available to users in the United States.
