Positioning itself as a competitor to industry leaders such as OpenAI and Google, xAI has invested heavily in computational resources, using approximately 100,000 Nvidia H100 GPUs to train Grok 3. This robust infrastructure underpins its improvements in inference, programming capabilities, and multimodal functionality such as text and image analysis.
Note: The chain-of-mind approach can significantly improve a model's ability to handle complex queries and provide more coherent and logical responses. This feature is already available in Grok standalone applications, but is not yet available in Grok 2.
There are indications that Grok is on the verge of launching Pro Mode, which briefly appeared in the iOS version of the app, however, its availability and specifics remain uncertain as the tab was removed shortly after its discovery.
The Grok standalone app will be available on February 28, 2025 in Europe. This marks an expansion of its current availability in select countries and is in line with xAI's goal of expanding access to its AI tools. It is unclear whether this date coincides with the official release date of Grok 3.
