December 20 news.Google DeepMind has announced a partnership with Apptronik,To address the complex operational challenges of dynamic real-world environments, we jointly developed a new generation of humanoidrobot.
The partnership will combine Google's cutting-edge AI technology with Apptronik's proven robotics hardware to further enhance the functionality and safety of humanoid robots, enabling them to perform complex tasks in the real world.
1AI Note: Founded in 2016, Apptronik has been leading innovation in robotics, developing 15 robots including the NASA Valkyrie.
The company's latest development is the Apollo humanoid robot, which stands 5 feet 8 inches (173 cm) tall and weighs 160 pounds (73 kg). Mercedes-Benz has piloted Apollo in its manufacturing facilities to perform repetitive, low-skill tasks, such as delivering parts to production lines and inspecting components.
By combining Apptronik's cutting-edge robotics platform with Google DeepMind's AI expertise, we are creating smart, versatile and safe robots that will transform industries and improve lives," said Jeff Cardenas, CEO of Apptronik. "
