December 14th.Musk flagarrive at (a decision, conclusion etc) xA Announced on 13th local time, to all 𝕏 platform usersfreeNew version of Grok-2 model launched. As always, Premium and Premium + users will receive higher usage limits and will have priority access to any future new features.
Officially, Grok utilizes the 𝕏 platform to get a real-time view of what's happening in the world. Recently, Grok introduced two additional features to further enhance this experience: web search and citations. Grok now utilizes posts from 𝕏 and pages from the wider Internet to provide timely and accurate answers to user queries. In addition, Grok has added a "citation" feature that allows users to easily drill down to the source for more information or to verify the information provided by Grok.
Grok also announced that it is bringing an added feature to the 𝕏 platform: the "Grok" button. This button will appear in posts on the homepage timeline and is designed to help users discover relevant contextual information, learn about real-time events, and dive into popular discussions.
As 1AI previously reported, xAI began testing a free version of Grok last month in some regions (e.g., New Zealand). At the time, however, there were some restrictions on the use of the free version of Grok: Grok-2 models were limited to 10 queries per day, Grok-2 mini models were limited to 20 queries per day, and image analysis was limited to three queries per day. In addition, a user account had to be registered for at least 7 days and a cell phone number had to be tied to it in order to use the free version of Grok.
