This officially unannounced feature is currently only available in the Edge browser's Privacy, Search & Services settings, and only in an unreleased beta version. According to its brief description, the feature maypass AI Help Microsoft detect potential tech scams.
In recent years, scareware has become increasingly sophisticated, utilizing fear and urgency to force users to perform dangerous actions. "Scareware Blocker is expected to represent Microsoft's latest attempt to tackle online scams with AI. While the feature is still in the experimental stage, it shows that Microsoft is working on more specialized tools to improve users' online safety.
