Samsungelectrons inSouth KoreaAI subscription launchedclubsprogram, which is not a paid subscription service for the Galaxy AI feature on smartphones and tablets, but rather a consumer-oriented program thatAllow them to rent AI-equipped Samsung appliances for a monthly fee.
Consumers can use Samsung's AI-equipped products for a limited period of time by paying a monthly subscription fee.This allows more consumers to try out Samsung's high-end appliances and AI features before buying these devices.
The subscription can be used to rent refrigerators, TVs, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, etc. Under certain packages, the device can be repaired for free if it breaks down for no apparent reason. Upon subscribing to the program, users will receive an AI Subscription Club Samsung card.
The "All-in-One" package allows users to combine products, repair services, self-care and home visits for up to 60 months and can be canceled midway through the subscription. The Kimchi refrigerator, priced at 3 million won (currently about 15,537 yuan), rents for just 10,000 won (currently about 51.8 yuan) per month.
The "Smart Package" allows users to subscribe to a product and a service of their choice (free repair or care service) for a period of 36 to 60 months.
These care services include detailed product inspections, consumable parts replacement, and interior and exterior cleaning. Samsung also plans to expand the AI Subscription Club to include remote diagnostic and repair services in the future.
Samsung has also partnered with several brands to offer discounts on their services. Kim Yong-hoon, general manager of Samsung Electronics Korea, said, "We plan to expand our subscription offerings to enable more consumers to experience 'AI Life' in the future. With the launch of the 'AI Subscription Club', we will complete the 'AI=Samsung' formula and realize the vision of 'AI for All' in all areas. "
