NVIDIA's Jen-Hsun Huang says three types of robots are expected to be mass-produced in the future: cars, drones and humanoid robots.

NvidiaFounder and CEO Jen-Hsun HuanggoThe Hong Kong University of Science and TechnologyHonorary Doctorate of Engineering. On that day, he appeared at the degree conferment ceremony and gave a speech about the changes and outlook of artificial intelligence, as well as his message to graduates.

NVIDIA's Jen-Hsun Huang says three types of robots are expected to be mass-produced in the future: cars, drones and humanoid robots.

1AI notes that Jen-Hsun Huang also engaged in an insightful conversation with Council Chairman Shen Xiangyang. Jen-Hsun Huang mentioned that threerobotwith the promise of mass production. And it's pretty much limited to those three, with all other types of robots that have appeared in history struggling to achieve mass productionThe three types of robots are: automobiles, because we have built a world adapted to them over the last 150 to 200 years; followed by drones, because the sky is virtually unlimited; and, of course, the most prolific will be humanoid robots, because we have built a world for ourselves.

According to Jen-Hsun Huang, mass production is critical because it drives the technology flywheel effect. High investment in research and development (R&D) can lead to technological breakthroughs, which in turn produce better products and further drive the scale of production. This R&D flywheel is key to any industry.

Jen-Hsun Huang also said that the Greater Bay Area is the only region in the world that has both electromechanical and artificial intelligence technologies. This does not exist elsewhere. The other two E&E industrial powerhouses are Japan and Germany, but unfortunately they are far behind in AI technology and really need to catch up.
