SamsungIn a blog post today (October 21), the company announced the launch of the second generation of its developer conference in South Korea, theGenerative AI Models Samsung Gauss2.
ThisMultimodalityLanguage models canProcesses multiple data types such as text, code, and images simultaneously, significantly improving performance and efficiency.
Gauss2 provides "Compact", "Balanced" and "Supreme" models with three different specifications to meet the needs of different computing environments and application scenarios. Gauss2 provides three different models of "Compact" (Balanced) and "Supreme" (Supreme) to meet the needs of different computing environments and application scenarios, which are briefly summarized by IT Home as follows:
- The "Lite" version focuses on efficient operation on resource-constrained devices;
- "The Balanced Edition balances performance, speed and efficiency;
- The "Supreme Edition" significantly reduces the computational cost of training and reasoning while ensuring high performance through the "Expert Hybrid" technology.
Gauss2 supports multiple languages and programming languages, and uses Samsung's own stable training technology and customized word splitters to ensure model efficiency and accuracy.
Gauss2 outperforms the leading open source models for multilingual text generation and coding, with processing speeds of 1.5 to 3 times faster.
Samsung Gauss2 has been widely used within Samsung, significantly improving employee productivity. For example, the "code.i" coding assistant has been upgraded to the Gauss2 version, providing efficient code assistance services for software developers in the DX department and overseas research institutes, and has seen a four-fold increase in monthly usage.
