Technology outlet The Decoder published a blog post on October 30th, reporting thatGoogleCEO Sundar Pichai on his latest quarterly earnings call.Announce Gemini API usage has skyrocketed 14 times in the last 6 months.
Pichai said Google has already integrated Gemini in its core businesses such as Google Maps and Google Search, which now have an initial reach of 2 billion users, in addition to the standalone Gemini app and the embedded Android Assistant, which are also witnessing strong user growth.
Google's cloud computing division has begun to benefit from the AI boom, with revenues up 35 percent to $11.4 billion, which includes AI and third-party services, and the division's operating income grew to $1.95 billion from $270 million last year.
Pichai revealed that Google is accelerating Project Astra with the aim of launching it in 2025, building AI experiences that can recognize and reason about a user's surroundings.
