October 31st.OpenAI Announced today,ChatGPT Advanced Voice Mode (AVM) is now available on Windows and Mac platforms.
AVM runs on OpenAI's state-of-the-art GPT-4o model and allows users to communicate with ChatGPT as if they were having a conversation with a real person, including interruptions, pauses, and other natural language behaviors.OpenAI says thatAVM provides a more natural, real-time conversational experience that senses and responds to user emotions in real time.
The much-anticipated feature was first made available to beta users in July, and rolled out to paid subscribers at the end of Sept. In an October tweet, OpenAI revealed that free users would also have the opportunity to experience AVM, while Plus and Free users in the EU would have to be patient.
Just a day ago, OpenAI also announced another new feature: chat history search for the web version of ChatGPT. Users can now quickly and easily pull up chat history for reference, or continue a chat from where they last left off.
