Tencent announced on Oct. 25, in order to help keepers observe all aspects of thegiant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca)Tencent, the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda, and Guangdong University of Technology, jointly created theWorld's First Intelligent Identification of Giant Panda BehaviorModeland Intelligent Systems.
The model can recognize the daily behaviors of pandas such as eating, drinking, sleeping, etc., and automatically generate visual data reports such as daily, weekly and monthly reports. By optimizing the SlowFast algorithm, the project team has significantly improved the system's ability to recognize behaviors in sheltered environments, and the current indoor sheltered scenario ofGiant Panda Behavior Recognition Accuracy Increased to Over 80%.
In order to care for the pandas in a more refined way, the students have also upgraded the system so that the AI can recognize theTime and food type of each feeding of giant pandas (Ailuropoda melanoleuca), including bamboo, bamboo leaves and artificial supplements.
During the research and development of the intelligent panda behavior recognition model, Tencent Cloud provided the project team with products and resources based on the public cloud, the artificial intelligence development service platform TI, and the one-stop research and development management platform CODING DevOps, providing a wide range of services fromUnderlying arithmetic, training environment deployment, data labeling to model trainingThe full-link technology and platform support.
The project team plans to deploy the "Giant Panda Behavioral Intelligent Recognition Model" to the Giant Panda Conservation and Research Base in the future to identify, count, analyze the behavior of each giant panda in real time and generate reports.As the world's first giant panda model, in the future will be combined with the giant panda professional breeding knowledge, it can also assist the keeper for disease prediction, disease capture.
