According to Yonhap News Agency, local instant messaging giant Kakao released its latest generative AI Assistant“Kanana", which focuses on providing users with convenient and easy-to-use AI services.
According to Kakao's CEO, Shin-ah Jung, Kanana is more than just a traditional AI assistant; it's positioned as an "AI companion" that can be used as a tool to help you get the most out of your AI.Remembering key information in conversations, and provide responses to the user based on context. It has the ability to understand group conversations and provide intelligent responses accordingly.
Kanana is said to be divided into two parts: Kana as a group chat AI assistant and Nana as a personal AI companion.
- Nana remembers the content of users' individual and group conversations, such as helping users remember what happened in theMeeting schedules or reminders for preparations in group discussionsIt can summarize the main points of a group chat, support text/speech interactions, as well as understand documents in various formats and generate summaries.
- Kana is primarily responsible for memorizing group chats and helping users solve practical problems, such as those that can bePost quizzes in study groups, and provide ratings, answers, or inSuggesting date plans in conversations between couples.
Kanana will also offer an in-car mode that allows users to interact with the AI through voice actions while driving. kakao plans to launch Kanana as a standalone app, with beta testing to refine the functionality over the course of the year.
