The app is essentially a web version of ChatGPT in a shell, allowing users to ask about AI features, upload photos and documents, access OpenAI o1 models, and quickly bring up the app with the "Alt + Space" hotkey, but note that the "Advanced Speech Mode" feature is currently absent. Advanced Voice Mode" is absent for now.
OpenAI says the app will be available to all users once testing is complete, theTesting is expected to be completed later this year.
