The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said yesterday that the number of registered users of China's generative AI service Big Model has now exceeded 600 million, CCTV News reported.
According to Zhao Zhiguo, chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the scale of China's core AI industry is rising, with the number of enterprises exceeding 4,500.Nearly 200 large models of generative AI services have been filed and put on line to provide services to the public, with more than 600 million registered users.
Zhao Zhiguo pointed out that a number of specialized and special new enterprises in the field of artificial intelligence have thrived, their technological innovation capacity has been improving, and the number of patent applications and authorizations is among the top in the world. It is necessary to improve the ability of AI infrastructure public services, build a low-threshold, easy-to-adapt, highly available AI development platform, and accelerate the training, tuning, and application of large models on a large scale. At the same time, we will enhance the supply capacity of arithmetic facilities, accelerate the construction of a national integrated arithmetic system, and solidly increase the proportion of intelligent arithmetic.
