Technology media outlet The Decoder published a blog post on October 3 thatreports that Black Forest Labs has newly launched Flux 1.1 Pro with a Beta version of the BFL API.

In benchmarks against competitors such as Ideogram v2 and Midjourney v6.1, Black Forest Labs reports that Flux 1.1 Pro performs better on most metrics, especially in terms of cue adherence and consistency.
Black Forest Labs has also updated the existing Flux 1 Pro, which doubles the speed of image generation while maintaining the same quality.
As of October 1, 2024, Flux 1.1 Pro excels in visual fidelity and cueing accuracy with an Elo score of 1153, outperforming other competing models such as Midjourney 6.1.
Originally used to calculate the relative skill levels of players in board games, the Elo scoring system is now widely used to evaluate the performance of large language models (LLMs).
The company says Flux 1.1 Pro is still three times as fast as the updated Flux 1 Pro.

Black Forest Labs is launching the BFL API in Beta form, thereby supporting developers in integrating Flux models into their applications.
Flux 1 Dev costs $0.025 (currently about $0.18) per image, Flux 1 Pro costs $0.05 (currently about $0.35) per image, and Flux 1.1 Pro costs $0.04 (currently about $0.28) per image.
