In a blog post published today (October 5), tech media outlet testingcatalog reported that Anthropic has expanded its Claude Function,Supports users processing files with context windows of more than 200,000 tokens.
Claude is currently processing user uploaded files that exceed the limit and the following error pops up indicating that the number of characters in the current file exceeds the limit that Claude can handle.
However, Anthropic is working on new features to interact with it by extracting content in chunks, thus supporting users uploading files that exceed the processing limit.
This improvement means that Claude has extended its ability to handle files to rival Gemini 1.5 Pro (2 million tokens).
If Claude is able to efficiently query these reference files, it may greatly enhance its usefulness in coding and other applications that need to deal with large amounts of data.
Claude is a series of large-scale language models developed by Anthropic, Inc. Designed to support business-critical use cases, it has a very low phantom rate and high accuracy, and excels especially when dealing with long documents.
