- One is to help people access the world's information and knowledge in their own languagesLast year alone, Google used artificial intelligence to add 110 new languages to Google Translate. That brings the total number of languages in Google to 246, and Google is working to expand to 1,000 of the world's most commonly used languages.
- Second, accelerating scientific discovery for the benefit of mankind.. Google's AlphaFold breakthrough is solving a major challenge in predicting some of life's building blocks, including proteins and DNA. Google has made AlphaFold freely available to the scientific community, and more than 2 million researchers from more than 190 countries and territories have access to it.
- Third, to help people cope with climate-related disasters, building on the United Nations "early warning for all" initiativeGoogle's Flood Center system provides up to seven days of advance warning. - Fourth, the opportunity for AI to contribute meaningfully to economic progress. Some studies suggest that AI could increase global labor productivity by 1.4 percentage points and grow global GDP by 7% over the next decade.
Pichai announced at the summit that Google will create a global AI opportunityfund,Investments $120 million(Note: Currently about 846 million RMB) to provide AI education and training in communities around the world. Google will partner with non-profits and NGOs to provide this service in local languages.
