Hippo Aixue was previously managed by the ZERO team of Dali Education, which mainly researches AI education in China. In the first half of this year, due to business adjustments, Dali Education ZERO was merged into the Doubao team, and Hippo Aixue was also merged into Doubao. It was recently renamed Doubao Aixue and became a member of the Doubao product matrix.
After ByteDance officially renamed the Skylark Big Model to "Doubao Big Model" at the Volcano Engine Power Conference on May 15, 2024, family products based on the Doubao Big Model have continued to emerge. In addition to Doubao and Doubao Aixue, there are also apps such as Button, Star Painting, and Cat Box, as well as various development platforms such as Doubao MarsCode.

This product family also includes some basic platforms for AI technology development, including the AI programming platform "Doubao MarsCode" and the intelligent agent development and creation platform "Button", which have become important matrix products of ByteDance in building the underlying basic development ecosystem of AI.
In addition, other products under ByteDance, such as TikTok, Jianying, Jimeng AI, and Bytedance, also rely on Doubao Big Model to provide technical support for some AI function services.
Most of these products come from ByteDance's artificial intelligence department "Flow", which has four major business lines: AI education, Doubao, internationalization and community, such as Doubao, Button, Star Painting, Cat Box, etc., while Hippo Aixue (now Doubao Aixue) and Xiaohuangjiao are from the Dali Education ZERO team before it was merged into Doubao.
It is worth noting that Doubao, the AI dialogue product, is a star product of Doubao's large model. Its team is also developing products with Doubao as the prefix of the product name, including Doubao Aixue and Doubao MsrsCode.
