Tadao Nagasaki, CEO of OpenAI Japan, said that while GPT-3 and GPT-4 are relatively close in performance, GPT Next is expected to be a bigger leap forward, with a 100-fold increase in performance.
Tadao Nagasaki, who will take the helm of OpenAI Japan in April 2024, emphasized that AI technology is evolving at an exponential rate compared to traditional software.
Citing The Information, OpenAI is currently developing two new AI systems: the Strawberry "Strawberry" AI model, which focuses on improving capabilities in areas such as math and programming, and the Orion "Orion" AI model, which could be the true successor to the GPT-4 and thus become "GPT Next.
