AppleofiOSAlthough many promised features of the 18 system have not appeared in the current beta version, they are expected to be launched in iOS 18.2. Considering that Apple usually releases version x.2 updates in December, iOS 18.2 is expected to be the last major update in 2024, bringing many long-awaited features to users.
Highlights of this update include:SiriIntegrationChatGPTTechnology, Genmoji emoji generator, redesigned mail app, and full support for robot vacuum cleaners. Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed that ChatGPT integration will be launched before the end of the year, and the company also plans to invest in OpenAI's next round of financing.
Although Genmoji has not been officially released since its debut at WWDC, interface elements that have appeared in recent beta versions suggest that the feature is coming soon. The new Mail app will bring a new design and more efficient classification functions, while the Home app will be able to control the core functions of the smart vacuum cleaner.
For EU users, Apple will display the default browser selection screen more frequently starting from the end of the year, and users will need to reconfirm once a year.
While it is possible that major features will be added to subsequent beta versions of iOS 18.1, this is not common and users can expect these new features to arrive by the end of the year.
