Japan AI ChipsUnicorn companies Preferred Networks(hereinafter referred to as PFN) today announced that it has formed a capital and business alliance with Japanese financial giant SBI Holdings to develop and productize PFN's next-generation AI semiconductors.
According to the agreement signed between PFN and SBI Holdings, the two companies plan to jointly develop PFN's next-generation AI semiconductors and work together to promote chip productization, and cooperate in the chip's packaging and testing processes.
In addition, SBI Holdings' parent company SBI Group plans to complete the Invest up to 10 billion yen in PFN(Currently approximately RMB 494 million).
According to previous reports, the "next-generation AI chip" mentioned in the PFN press release should refer to the AI accelerator produced by Samsung Electronics for PFN using 2nm process and I-Cube S advanced packaging.
