Dan Vahdat, founder and CEO of Huma, said the Huma Cloud platform is like the Shopify of digital health, designed to drive the adoption of digital and AI technologies in healthcare and research. At the core of the platform is a generative AI-driven build tool that allows users to take advantage of a rich set of modules, templates, and disease management tools, and combine these elements through drag-and-drop functionality for personalized application development.
This time Huma successfully closed an $80 million Series DFinancing, plans to use the funds to further expand the platform's reach and enhance its functionality. Huma's cloud platform is currently being piloted in a number of startups and large pharmaceutical companies, with the ability to bring applications to market within days.
Huma's configurable platform has served more than 3,000 hospitals and clinics, with more than 35 million users participating in the program.Vahdat mentioned that Huma hopes to support a new generation of digital health entrepreneurs with this new platform, making it easier for them to develop regulatory-compliant digital health applications.
Currently, the Huma cloud platform is only available to select startups and pharmaceutical companies on a subscription model or pay-per-use basis, and Huma plans to expand the beta test to accept more applications in the coming months. With this platform, users can easily create healthcare solutions through rapid prototyping and testing without a technical background.
Huma's cloud platform is competitive with other AI application development solutions such as AWS App Studio, but Huma specifically emphasizes its focus on the healthcare industry and has received approval from global regulators.Huma hopes that the platform will help solve many of the challenges of applying AI technology in the healthcare sector and facilitate the upgrading of healthcare services.
