The goal of the "AI Ready" program, led by Swami Sivasubramanian, vice president of data and AI at AWS, is to make AI education accessible to all interested individuals to meet the current and future workforce demand for AI skills. Research shows that 73% of employers prioritize hiring people with AI skills, but three-quarters of employers still face difficulties in meeting AI talent needs. In the future, 93% of companies expect to integrate AI solutions into their operations within the next five years, consolidating AI's key role in shaping the business landscape.

In addition to training professionals, AWS also announced the launch of the Generative AI Scholarship, providing more than $12 million in scholarships to 50,000 high school and college students around the world. The scholarship program includes the "Introduction to Generative AI with AWS through Udacity" course, and students will receive a certificate after completion. The collaborative project "Hour of Code Dance Party: AI Edition" with Code.org will introduce students to coding and AI concepts, providing them with insights into generative AI using popular songs by creating virtual dancer choreography.
