The platform provides data collection, storage and calculation capabilities of oracle bones, and assists in the decipherment of oracle bones through AI technology. The platform is equipped with auxiliary tools such as automatic recognition of oracle bones and AI facsimile generation, which facilitates the processing and use of ancient texts.
On the AI Collaboration Platform, users can upload an oracle bone character, such as the character for "hundred," and quickly retrieve how it has been recognized, said Gao Feng, deputy director of the lab. The platform also provides auxiliary tools to serve researchers, such as AI facsimile generation. Users can upload oracle bone topographies in bulk, and the platform will automatically generate facsimiles of the topographies, which greatly facilitates the processing and use of ancient characters.
Tencent Tangyuan program partner Hui Pengyu demonstrated the use of AI collaboration platform. He introduced that "Yinqi Wenyuan" has collected more than 154 kinds of oracle bone records, and extracted nearly 240,000 oracle bone images from these data. Through AI auto-slicing technology, about 1.43 million oracle bone glyphs were sliced from these images, and more than 34,000 oracle bone related papers and theses were compiled.
Hui Pengyu emphasized that the ultimate goal of the platform is to realize the interconnected analysis of discrete oracle-bone theses with the help of AI through the aggregation of information correlation, so that experts and scholars from various teams can collaborate to crack the problems of oracle-bone research together.
