Design Platform Canva Today, the company unveiled a series of updates aimed at making its design ecosystem more attractive to professional teams and workspaces. The company redesigned its platform to make new and existing editing tools easier to find, and announced an Enterprise Edition that gives larger organizations more control over collaboration, brand management, and security.
Most of the updates are enterprise-focused, like AI style matching for brands, allowing users to customize the folders displayed in the Canva Home workspace, and adding the ability to “star” designs, folders, and branded templates for teams to more easily access specific projects. Canva Docs, a product similar to Google Docs or Microsoft Word, now has a “suggestions” mode for editors to suggest recommended edits, and has added colorful new highlight blocks to emphasize specific areas of text.

The updated editing panel now collapses automatically when not in use to prevent it from getting in the way of a design project in progress. A new Quick Actions toolbar at the top of the page adds more of Canva’s most popular design tools, like a color selection wheel and background removal feature.
There are also new “Magic Studio” AI tools, such as automatic clip highlighting and background noise reduction for video editing, and a text-to-image conversion tool for generating icons, graphics, and illustration-style designs. Here’s everything new in Magic Studio:

Highlights: Automatically edit the selected video and quickly generate multiple highlight clips.
Resize & Magic Switch: Transform any design into a custom personalized document in just a few clicks.
Magic Grab: Image editing function, select the corresponding area in the image and move the element or resize it.
Styles: Apply the style of any design to another design with just one click.
Magic Write: Upgraded AI document capabilities that can quickly generate clear and impactful text based on an individual's unique characteristics.
Enhance voice: Audio optimization, remove background noise. Create high-quality videos with clear audio.
Layouts: Quickly get a variety of layout suggestions that match your brand image and choose the appropriate one to use.
