It is reported that the new Lunar Lake chip will be equipped with a CPU, an integrated Xe2 GPU and a neural processing unit (NPU). Intel said that the AI performance of the Lunar Lake processor has been tripled compared to the previous generation Meteor Lake processor. This is due to its NPU being able to perform more than 40 teraflops per second (TOPS), far exceeding the existing series of AI PC The 10NPU TOPS provided by the Meteor Lake chip included in it.
Intel plans to introduce Lunar Lake chips into more than 80 new laptop designs from more than 20 laptop manufacturers and expects to ship 40 million AI PC processors by the end of this year.
