According to reports, Oracle Code Assist is based on Oracle's cloud Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) model and is designed to optimize Java, SQL programs and application development processes on the OCI platform. Oracle emphasized that the relevant AI programming assistant "has been trained with a variety of software libraries" and fine-tuned through its own software. Users can use the relevant model in conjunction with Oracle software to achieve "efficient programming."

Currently, this programming assistant can handle code generation, generate API documentation, and intelligently add comments., claiming to be able to "help developers understand development principles, view or modify existing code." The assistant can also provide modification suggestions or generate pull requests to automatically merge code changes into the software library.
Oracle said that companies can also use Oracle Code Assist to implement some "advanced functions", such as integrating internal corporate code/frameworks/libraries into the assistant to generate "customized" code, and can also check for possible code errors and inefficiencies of "latecomers" based on the company's previous program development experience.
